Tesco Mobile chooses Capita for its customers

Tesco Mobile has formed a new, five-year strategic partnership with Capita to improve and enhance its customer management services.

The deal, which starts on August 1, will see Tesco Mobile turning to our advanced technology and service design solutions to build on its already award winning customer service reputation - an evolution that will benefit more than 4.6 million customers.

“Capita is ideally placed to work in close partnership with Tesco Mobile,” said Capita Chief Executive Andy Parker. “It’s a quality brand, renowned for its excellent customer services and we will continue to enhance that experience through greater knowledge of customer behaviours, technology advancements and innovation.”

Capita’s existing and extensive experience working with household names in the private sector would be a boon to Tesco Mobile, he added.

Following consultation, around 550 permanent employees will transfer to Capita under TUPE regulations and a further 240 temporary staff will continue to work on the Tesco Mobile account under our management. The new partnership will be led by Max Harding, partnership director.
